About

Visitors should use the Brush Canyon Trail from Canyon Drive, two blocks to the east of Beachwood Drive off Franklin, or Griffith Observatory. Canyon has a parking lot, sidewalks, trash cans, and facilities for visitors. Parking is limited and fills up quickly at Griffith Park so using the DASH Observatory shuttle is recommended. This shuttle runs every 15 to 20 minutes between 10 AM to 10 PM and is wheelchair accessible. Due to multiple portions of the trail having a steep grade above 12%, this trail is not considered wheelchair or stroller friendly, although it may be for some users. This is a great hike if visiting or new in town with excellent views of the Hollywood sign. At the top is a 360 degree view behind the famous sign.

The Hollywood Sign hike is an absolute must-do when visiting Los Angeles! I recently embarked on this iconic adventure and was completely mesmerized. The trail offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, making it a photographer's paradise. The hike itself is invigorating, with well-maintained paths suitable for various fitness levels. As I ascended, the anticipation grew, and seeing the Hollywood Sign up close was a surreal experience. The sense of accomplishment upon reaching the top is unparalleled. I highly recommend going early in the morning to catch the sunrise or in the evening to witness the city lights come alive. The serene atmosphere makes it a great escape from the hustle and bustle of LA. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes, carry water, and be prepared for a memorable journey. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a fitness junkie, or simply a tourist, this hike is a quintessential LA experience that shouldn't be missed.

Embarking on the Hollywood Sign hike in Los Angeles was a thrilling adventure that seamlessly blended nature and urban allure. Starting from the Griffith Observatory, the trail winds through scenic hills, offering a perfect balance of challenge and accessibility. As I ascended, the panoramic views of the sprawling city below created a striking contrast to the tranquility of the trail. Reaching the iconic sign's towering letters at the summit brought a sense of accomplishment, and the proximity to the Wisdom Tree provided a poignant moment of reflection. The hike's popularity did not detract from the experience, as the well-maintained trail and diverse group of hikers added to the overall enjoyment. The Hollywood Sign hike is a must for any nature-loving college student, combining physical challenge, breathtaking scenery, and a touch of Hollywood glamour into an unforgettable adventure.
